Karen Schueller | Private Client Services

Karen Schueller, originally from the Midwest, recognized at a very young age that she was fascinated by foreign cultures and far away places.  Her first major move took her to Miami, Florida, where she attended Florida International University’s Hospitality School and began her foray into the travel industry as an embarkation/debarkation agent in the Port of Miami.  It was love at first sight and Karen decided to take a temporary break from school to work as an onboard purser with Norwegian Cruise Line.  The temporary absence turned into two years of sailing throughout South America, Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Once back on firm land, Karen returned to Miami and to school, at the same time working at Cunard Cruise Line’s Tour Department.  After Carnival brought Cunard and Seaborn together, Karen held various onboard and shore-side positions within the Cunard/Seabourn Tour Department during her almost seven years with the company.  She gained valuable experience in Shore Excursions, Land Programs, Hotel and Ground Services and finally handled the company’s Charter and Incentive Programs, which included charters on all three Seabourn yachts as well as the QM2’s Athen’s Olympic Charter.

This experience proved to be the perfect base for the next step in Karen’s career, that of Tour Developer for The World, the only luxury community at sea.  Within days of joining residenSea, she learned very quickly how different this product was from any other cruise vessel, even luxury cruising.  She embraced the challenge and spent the next two years delighting onboard Residents and Rental Guests with tours that truly showcased the authenticity of The World’s destinations in locations reaching from Mexico to Japan, from the Philippines to Australia and New Zealand and across the globe to the Baltic.

Her role with Frosch’s Private Client Services Division seemed like a natural fit and she is extremely excited and dedicated to contribute to the expansion of this fascinating area within the Frosch network.

Karen loves international dining, Brazilian Jazz, running, driving fast cars, reading good books and spending quality time with her cats Gia and Simba.  Yet her all-time favorite activity is the continual search and design of original, authentic experiences and encounters that help her clients to love all the wonders of this world as much as she does.
